David Turner has been working in the heating oil business for over 25 years during which he has seen the old steel single skin tanks make the change to cheaper plastic, believing at the time, as did most, that these would outlive the Engineers fitting them. 

2008 saw the formation of Turner Tanks ltd, offering that personal service covering oil tank installation, boiler servicing and repairs.

Following a period of installing tanks purchased from the various UK and Irish manufacturers made from both steel and plastic it soon became clear that the tanks available on the market for our customers were very limited in sizes, capacities and fitting options.

Following many callouts to failures of plastic tanks from all manufacturers, combined with convinced David Turner of a need for a quality heating oil tank and concerns over what customer choices were, Turner Tanks saw a gap in the market for a high-quality product and set about designing and manufacturing such a product.
